‘Young & Hungry’ Episode Guide (July 13): Gabi Searches for Her Long Lost Aunt

“Young & Bowling” (07/13/16) – Gabi is thrilled when she wins a local cooking contest using a recipe she got from her Aunt Chris. But when the contest organizers want to take a picture of Gabi and her aunt, Gabi is forced to go on a search for someone she hasn’t seen in years.

When Gabi finally tracks Chris down, she is surprised to learn that the reason she hasn’t seen Aunt Chris in so long is her aunt has transitioned into her Uncle Chris. Meanwhile, Josh is forced to relive his childhood bowling trauma, and Elliot soon regrets joining Yolanda’s poker game.

In the multi-cam, half-hour comedy series “Young & Hungry,” two worlds collided when Josh (Jonathan Sadowski), a wealthy, young tech entrepreneur, hired Gabi (Emily Osment), a feisty young woman, as his personal chef. After they started with an awkward one night stand, Gabi and Josh never stop trying to figure out if they should act on their obvious feelings for each other or maintain a professional relationship.

Along with Gabi’s best friend Sofia (Aimee Carrero), Josh’s housekeeper Yolanda (Kym Whitley), and publicist/right-hand man Elliot (Rex Lee), the five of them form a very dynamic, yet complicated unit, complete with a lot of laughs and a lot of heart.

“Young & Hungry” is produced by David Holden, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, and Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios. Gabi Moskowitz, of BrokeAssGourmet.com, is a San Francisco-based food blogger and contributed to the development of this project. The series stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley and Rex Lee.

Launch to date, “Young & Hungry” is Freeform’s #1 comedy of all time in Becomers 12-34 and wins its cable time period across the key target demographics. The series and cast have been nominated for five Teen Choice Awards since its premiere in the summer of 2014.
