This Week’s ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ Guests: Zoe Saldana; Tony Goldwyn; Elizabeth Warren

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s” guest lineup for its special live broadcasts, during both political conventions, July 18-21 and July 25-28 have been announced. Guests from the worlds of politics, entertainment, music and comedy will join host Stephen Colbert live, each night, as they react to the day’s events in Cleveland and Philadelphia.

Each week of live shows will be specially themed: “The 2016 Trumpublican Donational Conventrump — Starring Donald Trump as the Republican Party* *May Contain Traces of Republican,” and “The 2016 Democratic National Convincing — A Technically Historic Event: Death. Taxes. Hillary.”

In addition to Colbert hosting live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, “The Late Show” will have on-site teams in Cleveland and Philadelphia who will deliver pieces directly from the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention for the show each night.

The following are guests scheduled to appear on this week’s slate (July 18 – July 22, 2016) of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” episodes, airing Monday-Friday at 12:37-1:37 AM ET on CBS.

Monday, July 18: Actress Zoe Saldana; Actress Jennifer Saunders; Author Ron Suskind

Tuesday, July 19: Comedian Keegan-Michael Key; musical performance by Jenny Lewis and NAF

Wednesday, July 20: Actor Tony Goldwyn; Actress Kathryn Hahn; Comedian Lewis Black

Thursday, July 21: Senator Elizabeth Warren; Comedian Billy Eichner; musical performance by Neko Case, k.d. lang and Laura Veirs

Friday, July 22: TBA.

Stephen Colbert takes over as host, executive producer and writer of “The Late Show” beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert, a multi-talented and respected host, writer, producer, satirist and comedian, is well-known for his previous late night show, “The Colbert Report,” which concluded in December 2014.

The program received widespread critical acclaim and earned many accolades, including two Peabody Awards and 41 Emmy Award nominations, with two Emmy Award wins for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014.

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” originates from The Ed Sullivan Theater in New York. Jon Batiste serves as the bandleader. Stephen Colbert, Tom Purcell and Meredith Bennett executive produce the late night talker. “The Late Show” is produced by The Late Show Inc., a CBS company.
