‘The View’ Episode Guide (Oct. 31): Halloween Costume Reveals; JB Smoove; Yvette Nicole Brown

On today’s all-new episode of “The View” on ABC, it’s Halloween and the hosts reveal their anticipated costume reveal. They will also dish about the latest “Hot Topics” during a “Once Upon A View” roundtable.

Next, JB Smoove discusses the return of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and his new book, “The Book of Leon: Philosophy of Fool.” Then, actress Yvette Nicole Brown chats about the new ABC comedy series “The Mayor.” And later, the cast of Broadway’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” performs live.

Last season, “The View” celebrated its historic 20th anniversary and was honored by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation with a Gracie Award. The show garnered five Daytime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Hosts, as well as a nomination for Favorite Daytime TV Hosting Team for the 43rd Annual People’s Choice Awards.

On election night, “The View” teamed up with Lifetime for “The View Live Election Special” with election-themed Hot Topics, interactive election activities and up-to-the-minute results from key battleground states. In October, “The View” will be inducted into the legendary Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

Ms. Walters, “The View”’s creator and long-time executive producer and panelist, was inducted in 1993. Season to date, “The View” posted gains compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.816 million vs. 2.760 million), marking its most watched season in three years – since the 2013-14 season. “The View” also stands as the only broadcast daytime show to grow its overall audience from last season.

“The View” (11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET) is the place to be heard with live broadcasts five days a week. Hilary Estey McLoughlin serves as senior executive producer, with Candi Carter as executive producer and Brian Teta as co-executive producer. “The View” is directed by Sarah de la O.
