“The Novelization Correlation” (02/01/18) – When Sheldon petitions Wil Wheaton to appear on the new Professor Proton show, Wil offers a role to Amy instead. Also, Penny gets angry when she thinks the female protagonist in Leonard’s novel is based on her, on “The Big Bang Theory,” Thursday, Feb. 1 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Christine Baranski and Wil Wheaton return to guest star. Kevin Sussman also guest stars as Stuart.

The teleplay for “The Novelization Correlation” was written by Eric Kaplan, Maria Ferrari and Jeremy Howe. This episode was directed by Mark Cendrowski.

“The Big Bang Theory” centers on brilliant physicists Leonard and Sheldon – geniuses in the laboratory but socially challenged everywhere else. Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life.

Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard and Penny have finally gotten married. Even Sheldon has found a female companion, entering into a “relationship agreement” with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler, and he recently took their relationship to the next level by proposing marriage.

In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon enjoy fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Koothrappali, Wolowitz and Wolowitz’s adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette, who is adjusting to life with their new baby girl.

“The Big Bang Theory” stars Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrappali), Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler), and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski).

“The Big Bang Theory” is co-created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It’s produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television. Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steven Molaro serve as executive producers.
