‘The Big Bang Theory’ Episode Guide (April 27): Penny Offered a Job From a Former Boyfriend

“The Cognition Regeneration” (04/27/17) – Leonard isn’t thrilled when Penny considers taking a new job offered by her ex-boyfriend, Zack (Brian Thomas Smith), on “The Big Bang Theory,” Thursday, April 27 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

Brian Thomas Smith guest stars in this episode as Zack.

The teleplay for “The Cognition Regeneration” was written by Dave Goetsch, Eric Kaplan and Jim Reynolds. It was directed by Mark Cendrowski.

“The Big Bang Theory” centers around brilliant physicists Leonard and Sheldon – geniuses in the laboratory, but socially challenged everywhere else. Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor, Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard believes he’s found true love with Penny.

Even Sheldon has found a female companion, entering into a “Relationship Agreement” with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler. In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon continue to enjoy frequent trips to the comic book store and fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Koothrappali, Wolowitz and Wolowitz’s adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette.

“The Big Bang Theory” stars Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrappali), Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler), and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski).

“The Big Bang Theory” is co-created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It’s produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television. Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steven Molaro serve as executive producers.
