‘The Big Bang Theory’ Episode Guide (Oct. 2): Leonard’s Interview Puts Him in Hot Water

“The Retraction Reaction” (10/02/17) – Leonard angers the university – and the entire physics community – after he gives an embarrassing interview. Also, Amy and Bernadette bond over having to hide their success from Sheldon and Howard, Monday, Oct. 2 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Ira Flatow returns to guest star as himself, and Regina King returns as Mrs. Davis.

The teleplay for “The Retraction Reaction” was written by Dave Goetsch, Eric Kaplan, and Anthony Del Broccolo. It was directed by Mark Cendrowski.

“The Big Bang Theory” centers around brilliant physicists Leonard and Sheldon – geniuses in the laboratory but socially challenged everywhere else. Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor Penny, who aims to teach them a thing or two about life.

Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard and Penny have finally gotten married. Even Sheldon has found a female companion, entering into a “relationship agreement” with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler, and he recently took their relationship to the next level by proposing marriage.

In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon enjoy fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Koothrappali, Wolowitz and Wolowitz’s adorable microbiologist wife, Bernadette, who is adjusting to life with their new baby girl.

“The Big Bang Theory” stars Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh Koothrappali), Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler), and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski).

“The Big Bang Theory” is co-created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It’s produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc., in association with Warner Bros. Television. Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steven Molaro serve as executive producers.
