‘Say Yes to the Dress’ Episode Guide (Aug. 1): Bride’s Budget Threatens Her Gown Dreams

“The Ties that Bind” (08/01/14; 9:00-9:30PM) – A bridge getting married for the second time hopes that she can convince her mother to attend her wedding by bringing her dress shopping. Meanwhile, a bride with a low budget may not get her dream dress. Then, a bride in for her fitting rethinks her gown choice.

“Good Things Come to Those Who Wait” (08/01/14; 9:30-10:00PM) – With only three months to go until her big day, indecisive bride June is under pressure to find a gown today. Meanwhile, Selfless bride Cecelia is looking for a dress that will put her in the spotlight. In for her fitting, bride Hillary hopes for her dad’s approval.

With wedding bells at an all-time high during summer, TLC heads back to Atlanta just in time for wedding season with all-new episodes of “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta” on Friday nights at 9/8c. With back-to-back premiere episodes, the upcoming season features a new batch of southern brides-to-be as they visit Bridals by Lori in search of their dream dress.

This season features a case of unconventional vs. traditional, as a bride who sees herself walking down the aisle in a fitted black dress battles with her mother who’s set on her daughter choosing a classic white ball gown. Meanwhile at another appointment, a humble bride who grew up in a Children’s Home never had the opportunity to shop for her own formal dress, until now.

A legally blind bride also visits Bridals by Lori, in search of her perfect romantic lace dress, but will her overbearing mother be able to let go of her little girl? And while the fiancée of pro wrestler Shane “The Hurricane” Helms struggles to stay in control of the appointment, another bride-to-be is on a mission to find a replica of the huge princess gown featured in the film “Coming to America.” Once again, it will be up to Lori Allen, Monte Durham, and the Bridals by Lori team of experts to find solutions for these indecisive yet determined brides-to-be.
