‘Raising Asia’ Episode Guide (Aug. 26): Asia Has a Meltdown Before Her Performance

“Billy’s Last Chance” (08/26/14; 10:00-10:30PM) – Billy is given just one more chance to prove that he has what it takes to take Asia to the next level, but a major meltdown from Asia before her first singing performance at Planet Hollywood threatens to derail everything they’ve been working towards. Meanwhile, it’s decision time — will Billy decide to stay, or will he go?

“Eyes on the Pride” (08/26/14; 10:30-11:00PM) – Anthony is determined to have full creative control over Asia’s performance at the Long Beach Pride Festival. But after missing rehearsals, arguing with Shawn, and disobeying orders, Anthony is on thin ice. In a fraught rehearsal, Anthony drops the ball…and Asia! Facing possible injury as well as chaos on her team, will Asia even take the stage?

Child prodigy Asia Monet Ray is no stranger to the spotlight and her loyal fan base eagerly follows her every career move. This summer, Lifetime premieres the all-new docuseries “Raising Asia” featuring the child sensation and her mother Kristie, who won’t let anything get in her daughter’s way. The road to fame and success isn’t an easy one but with her mom by her side, Asia’s dreams of becoming a world famous performer are well within reach, at least if Kristie has her say.

Before ever appearing on “Dance Moms” and placing third on season one of “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” eight-year-old YouTube sensation Asia Monet had already traveled the world to showcase her singing and dancing talents. In “Raising Asia,” cameras follow the rising star as she strives to take her career to the next level with the help of model mother Kristie, famous record-holding bodybuilder father Shawn and younger sister, Bella Blu, who are there every step of the way to support Asia’s journey to the top.

“Raising Asia” is produced by Collins Avenue, with Jeff Collins (“Dance Moms,” “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition,” “Fly Girls”), Michael Hammond (“Dance Moms,” “Amazing Race”), Sandi Johnson (“Undercover Boss,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition”), Bryan Stinson (“Dance Moms,” “High Society”) and Leola Westbrook (“America’s Next Top Model”) executive producing. Lifetime’s Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue and Kimberly Chessler also executive produce. 14 half-hour episodes have been ordered for this season.
