‘Modern Family’ Episode Guide (Oct. 26): Luke’s Halloween Party Turns Into a Disaster

“Halloween 4: The Revenge of Rod Skyhook” (10/26/16) – Luke’s Halloween party isn’t the monster bash he dreamed of and is at risk of having the worst party of the year.

Sensing trouble, the rest of the Dunphy’s realize all his party needs is a visit from Rod Skyhook, a little promotion and some adult supervision to get it started.

Meanwhile at the Tucker-Pritchett home, Cam faces off with his Halloween nemesis while Lily and Mitchell try to save the day and work to keep him from going to the darkside. Finally, when Jay finds out that Manny is going to a party at the home of an old enemy, he enlists him to deliver a trick he will never forget.

Guest starring in this episode are Robert Dostanzo as Earl Chambers, Cheyn Cole as Sophie and Spenser McNeil as Reuben.

“Halloween 4: The Revenge of Rod Skyhook” was written by Stephen Lloyd and directed by Chris Koch.

Critically lauded for revitalizing the television sitcom, “Modern Family” is also quickly cementing itself as a culturally defining series. The recipient of a record five consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series, tying the Emmy record previous set by “Frasier,” and a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Television Series, “Modern Family” returns to the ABC Television Network for its seventh season.

The Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan is a wonderfully large and blended family with Jay Pritchett sitting at the head. By his side is his vivacious, younger second wife Gloria, and together they are navigating life with their toddler Joe, and Gloria’s teenage son Manny, who has taken to high school with the same charm and gusto he’s had since he was little. Meanwhile, Jay’s grown daughter, Claire, and her husband, Phil, are trying to keep up as their kids grow up right before their eyes with the youngest, Luke, now a junior in high school whose focus is more on the girls than on the books; middle daughter, Alex, is starting her first year at college, and eldest, Haley, is living at home as she pursues a career and love. Then there’s Claire’s brother and Jay’s grown son, Mitchell, and his husband, Cameron, who are both managing the household on a single income as Mitchell contemplates his next career move which is turning out to be a harder adjustment for their sassy adopted seven-year-old daughter Lily. These three families are unique unto themselves, and together they give us an honest and often hilarious look into the sometimes warm, sometimes twisted, embrace of the modern family.

“Modern Family” stars Ed O’Neill as Jay Pritchett, Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy, Ty Burrell as Phil Dunphy, Sofia Vergara as Gloria Pritchett, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell Pritchett, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron Tucker, Sarah Hyland as Haley Dunphy, Nolan Gould as Luke Dunphy, Ariel Winter as Alex Dunphy, Rico Rodriguez as Manny Delgado, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily Tucker-Pritchett and Jeremy Maguire as Joe Pritchett.

The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Steven Levitan Prods and Picador Productions. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are co-creators/executive producers. Danny Zuker, Paul Corrigan, Brad Walsh, Abraham Higginbotham, Jeffrey Richman and Jeff Morton also serve as executive producers.
