“Junior Edition: A Presidential Mystery Box” (03/16/17) – The Top 14 junior home cooks receive a mystery box challenge inspired by the White House garden from former First Lady Michelle Obama.
The young cooks must come up with an original recipe that is both healthy and presidential worthy, and the winner will receive a special once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
For the next challenge, Julie Bowen (“Modern Family”) steps into the “MasterChef” kitchen to watch the kids make a dish in honor of their moms. Then, it’s up to the judges to decide which contestant will go home in an all-new episode of “MasterChef Junior” airing Thursday, March 16 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
After a nationwide search, 40 of the best junior home cooks in the country will compete in the “MasterChef Junior” kitchen, where they will face exciting challenges, such as a beach club pop-up restaurant, and surprise celebrity guests and diners, including world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck and the return of the Muppets.
One talented kid will be named America’s newest “MasterChef Junior,” and take home the “MasterChef Junior” trophy and $100,000 grand prize.
“MasterChef Junior” is produced by Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato, and is based on a format created by Franc Roddam and Endemol Shine. Elisabeth Murdoch, Eden Gaha, Robin Ashbrook, Gordon Ramsay, Adeline Ramage Rooney, Patricia Llewellyn and Ben Adler serve as executive producers.
