‘Madam Secretary’ Episode Guide (April 24): The President Learns the World’s Most Dangerous Terrorist is in Islamabad

“Connection Lost” (04/24/16) – When President Dalton gets word that the world’s most wanted terrorist, Jibral Disah, is hiding in Islamabad, he sends the “Murphy Station” – Henry, Jane (Jill Hennessy) and Jose (Carlos Gomez) – on a dangerous mission to eliminate the threat.

Also, Elizabeth and Henry go to couples therapy, on “Madam Secretary,” Sunday, April 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Marsha Mason returns as Elizabeth’s therapist, Dr. Kinsey Sherman.

Also guest starring in this episode are Jill Hennessy (Jane Fellows), Sebastian Arcelus (Jay Whitman), Carlos Gomez (Jose Campos), Tony Plana (Admiral Ed Parker), Johanna Day (Ellen Hill), Clifton Davis (Ephraim Ware), Waleed Zuaiter (Prime Minister Khoosat), Hari Dhillon (Pakistan Foreign Minister Konstantin Abedi), Shezi Sardar (Protestor #1), and Romeo Dcosta (Protestor #2).

“Connection Lost” was written by Joy Gregory and directed by Jonathan Brown.

“Madam Secretary” stars Téa Leoni as Elizabeth McCord, the shrewd, determined, newly appointed Secretary of State who drives international diplomacy, battles office politics and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home.

A college professor and a brilliant former CIA analyst who left for ethical reasons, Elizabeth returns to public life at the request of the President following the suspicious death of her predecessor. The President values her apolitical leanings, her deep knowledge of the Middle East, her flair for languages and her ability to not just think outside the box, but to not even acknowledge there is a box.

McCord’s team includes her Chief of Staff Nadine Tolliver, speechwriter Matt Mahoney, press coordinator Daisy Grant and her charming assistant, Blake Moran. As McCord debates third world problems, finesses foreign dignitaries at work and does battle with the President’s combative Chief of Staff Russell Jackson, that’s just a warm-up for when she goes home to her supportive husband Henry and their three children, where “politics” and “compromise” take on new meaning.

“Madam Secretary” also stars Tim Daly (Henry McCord), Bebe Neuwirth (Nadine Tolliver), Željko Ivanek (Russell Jackson), Geoffrey Arend (Matt Mahoney), Patina Miller (Daisy Grant), Erich Bergen (Blake Moran), Kathrine Herzer (Alison McCord), Evan Roe (Jason McCord), Wallis Currie-Wood (Stephanie “Stevie” McCord), and Keith Carradine (President Conrad Dalton).
