‘LIVE with Kelly’ Episode Guide (Oct. 4): Justin Theroux; Lindsey Vonn; Melissa Etheridge Performs

On today’s all-new episode of the syndicated “LIVE with Kelly,” actor Justin Theroux visits the set of the program to talk about his role in the mystery thriller film “The Girl on the Train,” which is based on the book of the same name by Paula Hawkins. The movie hits theaters this weekend.

Next, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn stops by to discuss her book, “Strong is the New Beautiful.” Then, rock singer Melissa Etheridge performs for the live studio audience. Plus, Fred Savage serves as guest co-host with Kelly Ripa this morning.

Currently in her 15th year with the show, Kelly Ripa took the lead on “LIVE” during the search for a new co-host. Fifty-nine different men and women shared the co-host desk over a nine month period. During that time, she helped to build the show’s key demo ratings and kept the momentum going until a new host was named.

On September 4, 2012, Michael Strahan was named the permanent co-host of the newly-rechristened show after an extensive search encompassing more than nine months. Michael Strahan departed the series for “Good Morning America” in May 2016. A new co-host is expected to be announced this summer or fall.

“LIVE with Kelly” is distributed in national syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Produced by WABC-TV in New York and executive produced by Michael Gelman, “LIVE” airs in more than 200 markets across the U.S.

Michael Gelman, who is often an on-air personality, executive produces the longrunning talker. To watch the syndicated “LIVE with Kelly,” be sure to check your listings for the time period it airs in your local market.
