Kelly Ripa is expected to be absent from the show through at least next week.

Currently in her 15th year with the show, Kelly Ripa took the lead on “LIVE” during the search for a new co-host. Fifty-nine different men and women shared the co-host desk over a nine month period. During that time, she helped to build the show’s key demo ratings and kept the momentum going until a new host was named. On September 4, 2012, Michael Strahan was named the permanent co-host of the newly-rechristened show after an extensive search encompassing more than nine months.

“LIVE with Kelly and Michael” is distributed in national syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Produced by WABC-TV in New York and executive produced by Michael Gelman, “LIVE” airs in more than 200 markets across the U.S.

Michael Gelman, who is often an on-air personality, executive produces the longrunning talker. To watch the syndicated “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” be sure to check your listings for the time period it airs in your local market.
