‘Katie Couric Show’ Episode Guide (Aug. 18): Woman Suffers From Rare Weight-Gaining Condition

On today’s episode of the syndicated “Katie,” Lizzie Velasquez, who was born without any adipose tissue, opens up to Katie about her extremely rare medical condition that prevents her from gaining weight and how it led her to become an author and a motivational speaker.

Then, a woman with the genetic condition albinism discusses becoming the first legally blind contestant to compete in the Miss California pageant and how she walked away with a huge prize.

And later, Tamara Tunie, who portrayed Tamara Tunie in NBC’s “Law & Order,” catches up with Katie. Plus, she’s dishing in her new original series “The Red Road.”

Katie Couric is an award-winning journalist, best-selling author and popular TV personality. In addition to hosting the nationally syndicated program “Katie,” Couric is also a member of the ABC News team. “Katie” is executive-produced by Katie Couric and Michael Morrison.
