‘Hotel Impossible’ Episode Guide (Dec. 30): CitiGarden Hotel in San Francisco, CA

“Sleeping on the Job!” (12/30/14) – Anthony Melchiorri travels west to San Francisco, Calif. to help turn around the struggling CitiGarden Hotel, but upon arrival, is left underwhelmed by the antiquated and disgusting guest rooms, an under-performing general manager, and negative reviews.

Will Anthony able to pull the hotel outside its death spiral and help create a new brand of success?

As host of Travel Channel’s popular series “Hotel Impossible,” “hotel fixer” Anthony Melchiorri is relentless when it comes to getting struggling hotels all over the world back on their feet and on the path to success. His no-nonsense approach may put some owners off, but his advice can transform even the most down-and-out properties. Yet it’s ultimately up to the hotel owners to implement and maintain his changes.

Each episode of “Hotel Impossible” features a hotel that is having problems or is not living up to it’s potential. Melchiorri secretly scouts the property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff from front desk receptionists to housekeeping to the owners themselves to determine the key operation issues.

Some owners could risk losing their hotels if Melchiorri’s renovations do not work. After coming up with a plan and prescribing the changes that need to be made, Melchiorri revamps and re-motivates the staff and transforms the hotel. Whether it is demonstrating the proper way to pour a glass of wine or gutting and redecorating a lobby, Melchiorri knows how to turn a struggling hotel into a bustling tourist destination.

“Hotel Impossible” is produced by Atlas Media Corp. for Travel Channel. For Atlas, executive producers are Bruce David Klein, Lorri Leighton and Rob Green. Anthony Melchiorri is a co-executive producer. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is Brian Leonard.
