‘Guilt’ Episode Guide (July 11): A Past Indiscretion Haunts Det. Bruno

“Blood Ties” (07/11/16) – Natalie discovers that crown prosecutor Gwendolyn may not be as unbiased in her investigation of Grace as she would have others believe.

Detective Sergeant Bruno is feeling trapped when a past indiscretion threatens to be exposed and he must decide if he will let it affect the Molly Ryan murder case.

Now with public opinion in her favor, Grace encourages her boyfriend Luc to move forward with his art show despite his continued drug use. Meanwhile, despite the fact that Detective Bruno is investigating her sister for murder, Natalie and Bruno can’t ignore their chemistry – and neither can Gwendolyn.

“Blood Ties” was written by Shaina Fewell, and directed by Larry Shaw.

The definition of guilt is being responsible for wrongdoing or a crime. In the murder of Molly Ryan, many are guilty in different ways, but only one is truly guilty of her murder. When Natalie’s sister Grace becomes the prime suspect in her roommate Molly’s murder and a popular target for the press and in social media, Natalie leaves her life in Boston and heads to London to defend her.

With the help of an ethically questionable ex-pat lawyer Stan Gutterie, Natalie starts to question how innocent her sister may really be as more ugly truths start to emerge. In this one-hour soapy drama, the mystery will twist through all layers of London society – from a posh but depraved sex club and all the way up to the Royal Family itself.

“Guilt” stars Billy Zane (“Titanic”) as Stan Gutterie, Daisy Head (“The Syndicate”) as Grace Atwood, Emily Tremaine (“Vinyl”) as Natalie Atwood, Cristian Solimeno (“Rush”) as Detective Sergeant Alex Bruno, Naomi Ryan (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) as Gwendolyn Hall, Kevin Ryan (“Copper”) as Patrick Ryan, Simona Brown (“The Casual Vacancy”) as Roz Walters, Zachary Fall (“Crossing Lines”) as Luc Pascal and newcomer Sam Cassidy as Prince Theo.

The series is written, created and executive-produced by Kathryn Price (“The Game Plan”) and Nichole Millard (“The Game Plan”). Todd Slavkin (“Defiance”) and Darren Swimmer (“Defiance”) serve as writing executive producers. Stephen McPherson serves as executive producer with Gary Fleder (“Kingdom,” “Scorpion”) and Larry Shaw (“Desperate Housewives”) as executive producer directors.

“Guilt” is a co-production of Sea to Sky Entertainment, the joint venture between Lionsgate Television and Thunderbird Films, and BV Family Productions, in association with Freeform.
