“Red or Black” Season 4 Finale (10/22/14) – Infeld is convinced he’s going to die after a mysterious invitation beckons him to Las Vegas to confront his destiny.
The boys and Dan Mundy follow him to the city of sin, and try to convince him that his death isn’t supposed to happen, and that the whole thing is a self-fulfilling prophecy, but soon find their own futures hanging in the balance when they’re arrested for cheating a casino out of thousands.
Franklin & Bash must put Vegas itself on trial in order to win the day, which they do… but the win is bittersweet, as the whole ordeal has raised serious question about their destiny.
It’s decided that the future of the legal team of Franklin & Bash will rest solely on one spin of the roulette wheel. Will it be red or black?
This episode was directed by Richie Keen and written by Bill Krebs & Bill Chais.
TNT’s “Franklin & Bash” centers on Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), two young, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants street lawyers who caused a seismic culture clash when they joined Infeld-Daniels, a legendary, button-down law firm. The patriarch of the firm – the brilliant and eccentrically spontaneous Renaissance man Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell) – hired them because he admires how Jared sticks it to authority every chance he gets and how Peter is able to forge a personal connect with both judge and jury.
Since hanging their shingle at Infeld-Daniels, Peter and Jared have repeatedly butted heads with fellow lawyers, especially Damien Karp (Reed Diamond), who disapproves of their casual style and law-skirting methods. Karp also happens to be Stanton Infeld’s nephew.
“Franklin & Bash” is executive-produced by Jamie Tarses, Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. The show launched on TNT in 2011 and went on to rank as one of basic cable’s Top 5 new series that summer.
