‘Franklin & Bash’ Episode Guide (Aug. 20): A Divorce Case Takes a Complex Turn

“Kershaw v. Lincecum” (08/20/14) – The firm’s newest attorney, Anita Haskins (Toni Trucks), takes point on a seemingly simple divorce case, but when it’s revealed that the plaintiff is married to a plastic surgeon who’s been subletting at the firm (guest star Willie Garson), Peter and Jared step in to ensure they don’t lose the much needed revenue stream.

The guys must now win the case by proving the surgeon cheated on her with her. Also, a promise to score tickets to a highly anticipated baseball game sends the boys calling in favors all over town leading to a kiss Peter or Jared will never forget. Creed Bratton also guest stars.

TNT’s “Franklin & Bash” centers on Jared Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), two young, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants street lawyers who caused a seismic culture clash when they joined Infeld-Daniels, a legendary, button-down law firm. The patriarch of the firm – the brilliant and eccentrically spontaneous Renaissance man Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell) – hired them because he admires how Jared sticks it to authority every chance he gets and how Peter is able to forge a personal connect with both judge and jury.

Since hanging their shingle at Infeld-Daniels, Peter and Jared have repeatedly butted heads with fellow lawyers, especially Damien Karp (Reed Diamond), who disapproves of their casual style and law-skirting methods. Karp also happens to be Stanton Infeld’s nephew.

“Franklin & Bash” is executive-produced by Jamie Tarses, Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. The show launched on TNT in 2011 and went on to rank as one of basic cable’s Top 5 new series that summer.
