‘Eyewitness’ Episode Guide (Oct. 23): Philip and Lukas Fnd Proof That the Killer’s Alive

“Bless the Beast and the Children” (10/23/16) – As Philip and Lukas find haunting proof that the killer’s alive, Helen struggles not to let the case affect her marriage with Gabe. Meanwhile, a new head of the FBI task force is revealed.

USA Network’s 10-episode anthology “Eyewitness” delves into the lives of Philip and Lukas, two innocent teenage boys who bear witness to a triple-homicide while in the midst of a romantic encounter.

Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they must keep what they’ve seen hidden from everyone, including Philip’s new foster mother, Helen, (Julianne Nicholson, “Black Mass,” “Masters of Sex”) a former big-city homicide detective who left her harrowing career to become a small-town sheriff.

With a murderer on the loose who is desperate to silence any link to the killings, Helen will stop at nothing to solve the case and bring peace back to Tivoli. “Eyewitness” premieres Sunday, October 16 at 10/9c on USA Network.

Adapted from the critically acclaimed Norwegian crime thriller “Øyevitne,” “Eyewitness” is spearheaded by creator, writer, and executive producer Adi Hasak (creator, “Shades of Blue”). Catherine Hardwicke (“Twilight”) was brought on to direct and executive produce the first two episodes. Also serving as executive producers are Jarl Emsell Larsen, Scott Peters (“V,” “The 4400”) and Jackie de Crinis.

From Universal Cable Productions, “Eyewitness” also stars Gil Bellows (“Ascension,” “11.22.53”) as Helen’s husband Gabe, who rescued her from a self-destructive cycle of living. The drama introduces Tyler Young (“Empire”) as Philip, the foster-child who Helen and Gabe struggle to raise together, and James Paxton (“Term Life”) as Lukas, a popular local motocross star who seems to have it all, until his sanity slips after witnessing the crime with Philip.
