‘CSI: Cyber’ Episode Guide (Dec. 13): Hacker’s Murder Investigated

“iWitness” (12/13/15) – The cyber team investigates the murder of a hacker who was hired to erase an assault victim’s comments from a confessional website, on “CSI: Cyber,” Sunday, Dec. 13 (10:00 PM-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Guest starring in this episode are Mary Mouser (Shelby Lockhart), Alisha Boe (Grace Clarke), Rob Estes (Julian Perkins), Justin Prentice (Carter Harris), Christopher Cousins (Mason Lynne), Christopher Foley (Finn Thompson), Dahlia Dacosta (Coroner), Michelle DeFraites (Young Woman), and Lauren Elizabeth Shaw (Quinn Elliott).

“iWitness” was written by Carly Soteras and directed by Paul Holahan.

“CSI: Cyber” stars Academy Award, Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Patricia Arquette in a drama inspired by the advanced technological work of real-life Cyber Psychologist Mary Aiken. Special Agent Avery Ryan heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world.

She knows firsthand how today’s technology allows people to hide in the shadows of the Internet and commit serious crimes of global proportion. Working with Ryan is the new Director of Next Generation Forensics, D.B. Russell, a civilian specialist who has transferred from Las Vegas to combine his vast knowledge of traditional forensics with cutting-edge advancements to help hunt down the most dangerous cyber criminals.

Also on the team are FBI Agent Elijah Mundo, a forensic expert who is ex-military, a self-proclaimed action junkie and Avery’s confidant; Daniel Krumitz, an introverted tech genius with a quick wit; Brody Nelson, a former black hat hacker who chose to work for the FBI over a life of cyber-crime; and Raven Ramirez, a tech who is an expert in social media, cyber trends and international relations. While other agents search for criminals in dark homes and alleys, Ryan and her team search the “dark net,” a place deep in the bowels of the Web where criminals are anonymous, money is untraceable and where everything is for sale with just a keystroke.

“CSI: Cyber” stars Patricia Arquette (Special Agent Avery Ryan), Ted Danson (D.B. Russell), James Van Der Beek (Elijah Mundo), Charley Koontz (Daniel Krumitz), Shad Moss (Brody Nelson), and Hayley Kiyoko (Raven Ramirez).

“CSI: Cyber” is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Anthony Zuiker, Pam Veasey, Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman serve as executive producers.
