‘Castle’ Episode Guide (April 11): Castle and Beckett Hunt for an Antique Lamp and a Killer

“Death Wish” (04/11/16) – The murder of a man connected to smuggling Turkish relics sends Castle, Beckett and the 12th Precinct on a search for a stolen antique believed to be Aladdin’s lamp, in hopes that it can lead them to the killer, on “Castle,” MONDAY, APRIL 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) on the ABC Television Network.

Guest starring in this episode are Frank Tran as Lars Cross, Carolyn Stotesbery as Genevieve, and John Ducey as Mark Nagle.

“Death Wish” was written by Stephanie Hicks and directed by Bill Roe.

Richard Castle — the devastatingly handsome and fun-loving mystery novelist — first connected with the NYPD when he helped solve a series of murders ripped from the pages of his famous Derek Storm novels. Suffering from writer’s block, Castle found a new muse in the beautiful and intelligent NYPD Detective Kate Beckett.

Using his friendship with the mayor to weasel his way into shadowing her, their partnership inspired Castle to write a new series of novels, Nikki Heat. Teaming Castle’s writer intuition and Beckett’s creative detective work, they’ve spent seven years solving homicides in New York, including the murder that started it all, Beckett’s mother. And, of course, reluctantly falling in love.

In Season 7, Castle was finally found after missing his wedding to Beckett and disappearing for two months. With no memory of this lost time, will the truth of Castle’s missing months come back to haunt the newlyweds? After passing the Captain’s exam, Beckett was surprised with the news that she was also being vetted for political office. Which path will she choose, and how will New York’s famous couple adapt in Season 8?

“Castle” stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle with Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers. For Season 8, Toks Olagundoye (“The Neighbors”) joins the series as Hayley, a quick-witted, free-spirited, former Scotland Yard police officer who works as a security specialist and is not afraid to cross lines to get things done.

Executive producers are Terence Paul Winter, Alexi Hawley, Rob Bowman, Rob Hanning and Armyan Bernstein. “Castle” is produced by ABC Studios
