‘Beauty and the Beast’ Episode Guide (July 14): Vincent Goes Into Hiding

“Point of No Return” (07/14/16) – With Vincent (Jay Ryan) in hiding and Cat’s (Kristin Kreuk) job on the line, they must re-group about how to bring down the people hunting beasts.

Vincent tries to infiltrate a private army, while Cat scrambles to obtain information and hopes that no one at work discovers her ulterior motives.

“Point of No Return” was directed by Jill Carter and written by Gillian Horvath.

Catherine “Cat” Chandler (Kristin Kreuk, “Smallville,” “Chuck”) is a smart, no-nonsense detective, spurred to action after hired killers murdered her mother – and would have murdered Cat, too – if something, some beast, hadn’t stopped them.

Ten years later, a case brought Cat to Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan, “Top of the Lake,” “Terra Nova”), a supposedly deceased soldier living off the grid with the help of his loyal childhood friend and scientist, J.T. Forbes (Austin Basis, “Life Unexpected”). Cat was shocked to discover that her mother was involved in an experiment to make super-soldiers, and when the experiment went wrong, the soldiers, including Vincent, were turned into uncontrollable beasts.

Vincent managed to escape the experiment alive, but then was hunted by Muirfield, the organization that sent the gunmen after Cat’s mother. Vincent had been tracking them, which led him to be in the right place to save Cat on that terrible night ten years ago. Cat and Vincent were drawn to one another and an epic love began.

Muirfield reappeared and infiltrated Cat’s life, costing her some of her closest relationships. She lied to her own sister, Heather (Nicole Gale Anderson, “Ravenswood”), and to her best friend and partner, Detective Tess Vargas (Nina Lisandrello, “Nurse Jackie”), in order to protect them. When police cases involving “beast” elements went unsolved, Assistant District Attorney Gabriel Lowan (Sendhil Ramamurthy, “Covert Affairs,” “Heroes”) was assigned to track down this mysterious “vigilante.”

“Beauty and the Beast” is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Take 5 Productions/Whizbang Films with executive producers Brad Kern (“Charmed”), Bill Haber (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Thurgood”), Paul J. Witt (“A Better Life”) & Tony Thomas (“A Better Life”), Ron Koslow (“Moonlight”), Frank Siracusa (“The Yard”) and John Weber (“The Borgias”), with Sherri Cooper (“Brothers and Sisters”) & Jennifer Levin (“Without A Trace,” “Felicity”) as consultants.
