‘American Housewife’ Episode Guide (Sept. 27): Katie Clashes With Westport Moms At School

“Back to School” Season 2 Premiere (09/27/17) – Katie’s efforts to get more time for herself backfire when she is forced to mend fences with the Westport moms by volunteering to run the school’s spring gala.

Meanwhile, Oliver proves to Katie that his passion for ballet is genuine, inspiring her to confront his belittling teacher and stick up for him. Taylor and Greg disagree over whether or not she needs to go to college while he teaches her how to drive, on the season two premiere of “American Housewife,” airing on a new day and new time on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 (9:31-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

“Back to School” was written by Rick Wiener and Kenny Schwartz and directed by Chris Koch.

Katie Otto, a confident, unapologetic wife and mother of three, raises her flawed family in the wealthy town of Westport, Connecticut, filled with “perfect” mommies and their “perfect” offspring.

Joining Katie in her perfectly imperfect world is her husband, Greg Otto, who supports her in every way possible, but with a dash of reality thrown in as they work to ensure their children – including their oldest teenage daughter, Taylor, who is already set on the “perfect” path; their middle son Oliver who has one goal in life: to be rich; and their youngest, Anna Kat, who needs a little extra help navigating life – do not end up like everyone else. Katie also has her closest friends in town, Angela and Doris, who help her keep it all in perspective.

Despite her flaws and unconventional ways, Katie ultimately only wants the best for her kids and will fight tooth and nail to instill some good old-fashioned values in them, if it’s the last thing she does.

The series stars Katy Mixon as Katie Otto, Diedrich Bader as Jeff Otto, Johnny Sequoyah as Taylor, Daniel DiMaggio as Harrison, Julia Butters as Anna-Kat, Carly Hughes as Angela and Ali Wong as Doris.
